DUI Charge for SC School Bus Driver

A school bus driver in Richland County, SC was arrested for drunk driving (DUI) and child endangerment last Friday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports she was arrested for DUI after wrecking the school bus she used for transporting students to and from school by running the bus across a road into a ditch. School district officials say she dropped off students at a middle school and high school just before the crash. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reports that her breath test results showed a blood alcohol level (BAC) of 0.17. 

There were no injuries and no children were on the bus at the time of the crash.  She was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and child endangerment by police.
