The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division says it has finished restoring all the data on DUI arrests to the agency's online servers without losing any DUI videos or other records. South Carolina DUI law requires that all driver's suspected of DUI must be video recorded while being administered a breath test. SLED stores digital copies of all the DUI videos at their facility in Columbia. SLED 's servers went down on July 5 after a lightning strike, blocking access to the database of DUI breath test videos for defendants, prosecutors and DUI defense attorneys.

SLED spokesman Thom Berry said Wednesday that all the files are back on the server, including those videos recorded during the outage. The server stores video and other data that goes back over 22 years. Some DUI cases were delayed while the database was down.
