According to the South Caroilna Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), as of October 25, 2015 760 people have died on South Carolina highways so far this year. That is an increase from a total number of accident related fatalities for the same period last year in South Carolina of 661. 252 of the people who have passed away this year as a result of automobile accidents were not wearing their seatbelts.
